Digital Asset, backed by a host of corporates including IBM and CME, has raised more than $40m in series B funding, taking its total capital to $110m.

Digital Asset, a US-based distributed ledger technology developer backed by technology group IBM, obtained more than $40m in a series B round yesterday led by Jefferson River Capital.

The round included a range of new and existing investors, though none of these were named.

Founded in 2014, Digital Asset operates a platform aimed at large-scale financial infrastructure that enables trading to be processed electronically without requiring manual intervention. The platform relies on blockchain technology.
