Issam Dairanieh has taken the chief executive position Global CO2 Initiative, shortly after leaving BP Ventures after five years as managing director.

Issam Dairanieh, who left corporate venturing unit BP Ventures last month, has taken a position as CEO of carbon capture research and development organisation Global CO2 Initiative.

Dairanieh left oil and gas company BP after joining in 1998 and had been managing director of BP Ventures since 2011. He ranked 21st on Global Corporate Venturing’s last Powerlist, in 2014.
