The US-based company, which distributes and monetises mobile applications, has established a $10m venture fund intended to fund indie developers.

Mobile application (app) distributor W3i launched a $10m fund on Wednesday for the financing of social gaming startups. The AppX Game Developer Marketing Fund will also provide production support with no long term sharing of revenues or IP rights.

W3i, which provides marketing and monetisation as well as distribution services, plans to concentrate on indie developers producing apps for the iOS and Android mobile platforms.
