The company has created technology to create playable adverts in order to increase user engagement.
Security software developer Trend Micro and internet services provider GMobi have taken part in a $6m series A round for Taiwan-based adtech developer VMFive, Tech in Asia has reported.
The round was also supported by CDIB Partners and Cherubic Ventures.
VMFive’s technology, dubbed Adplay, enables companies to create interactive adverts for mobile platforms. The adverts, which are streamed rather than directly included in an app, allow users to play games or test out in-app purchases before paying for them.
