The virtual reality technology startup will use the capital raised through the oversubscribed series A round to grow its development and engineering teams.

Visionary VR, a US-based developer of virtual reality story creation software, raised $6m yesterday in a series A round that included media group Bertelsmann, which invested through its Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments (BDMI) fund.

Venture capital firm DFJ led the oversubscribed round, which also featured film production company End Cue, Greycroft Partners’ GC VR Gaming Tracker Fund, Vayner/RSE and assorted angel investors.
