Robert Bosch has paid an undisclosed amount for the carpooling platform, giving InMotion Ventures its first exit.

Industrial technology and appliance producer Robert Bosch has acquired US-based carpooling platform Splitting Fares (SPLT) for an undisclosed sum, allowing carmaker Jaguar Land Rover’s InMotion Ventures subsidiary to exit.

Founded in 2015, SPLT has created an online platform that enables partner organisations such as businesses, universities and municipal authorities to organise ride sharing for their staff members. It has about 140,000 users across the US, Mexico and Germany.
