Silicon Laboratories, a Nasdaq-listed computer circuit parts maker, acquires SpectraLinear

Silicon Laboratories, a Nasdaq-listed computer circuit parts maker, has acquired SpectraLinear, a US-based peer for $40m. SpectraLinear on its website said its investors were venture capital firms Horizon Ventures, InterWest Partners, Norwest Venture Partners and Velocity Interactive Group but it has previously raised about $40m from consortia including Cypress Semiconductor, which span out its circuit clocks division to SpectraLinear in 2006, and Fuse Capital (formerly known as ComVentures), according to news provider Fortune.
