The data analysis software company has raised $1.5m from backers including Reed Elsevier.

US-based data analysis company SpaceCurve secured $1.5m in series A financing on 15th December from a pool of backers including Reed-Elsevier Ventures, venture capital (VC) firm backed by publishing and data provision company Reed-Elsevier, and independent VC firm Divergent Ventures, according to an SEC filing.

The funding follows a $1.1m seed round raised in August 2010, which saw participation by both Reed Elsevier and Divergent.
