Smart customer service technology provider Sobot received $29.5m in a round co-led by Yonyou, with the cash earmarked for product development and marketing.

Cloud services provider Yonyou has co-led a RMB210m ($29.5m) series C round for China-based smart customer service software developer Sobot with venture capital fund Yunqi Capital.

Founded in 2014, Sobot provides artificial intelligence and big data-equipped software that automates customer service for organisations, both pre-sale and post-sale.

The series C proceeds will be used to strengthen Sobot’s marketing capabilities and product development. It also intends to bolster its partnerships as it expands the ecosystem around its products.
