The winners of Saint-Gobain's third global innovation competition will also work with its Nova External Venturing team.

Saint-Gobain, a France-based construction materials supplier, has picked the three winners from its third global innovation competition for start-up companies in the habitat, energy and the environment sectors.

Nine start-up finalists out of 52 entries were cut down to the three winners: Germany-based Trovotech won the competition for producing glass particles at high temperatures and received a prize of €25,000 ($34,500), while Austria-based Crystalsol and France’s Soleis Technologie both picked €10,000 for their work in solar power products.
