Canada-based corporate venture-backed BlackBerry Partners Fund and phone maker Research In Motion (RIM) have doubled the prize for its annual Blackberry Developer Challenge to $3m, while one of its fund managers has exited Tungle.

Canada-based corporate venture-backed BlackBerry Partners Fund and phone maker Research In Motion (RIM) have doubled the prize for its annual Blackberry Developer Challenge to $3m, while one of its fund managers has exited Tungle.

It is the fund’s fourth event for Blackberry developers with applications due by August in most cases.

This year’s challenge includes the following three competitions:

Best Adobe Flash/AIR app

Most Innovative BlackBerry WebWorks app on the BlackBerry PlayBook and BlackBerry 6

Most Addictive social app…
