Holly Bolgar Jackson announced that she has left the CVC arm of the French food products multinational Danone, where she was ventures director.

After studying for an MBA, she joined Danone in 2012 as an assistant brand manager, and then moved to Danone Ventures in 2016, becoming ventures director in 2018.

Her new role is with the core business’s US division, Danone North America, on the enterprise strategy team.

Launched in 2016, Danone Ventures invests in global consumer food product startups, with a focus on the US and France.

In 2020, it took part in the $9.3m series A funding round for Sun Genomics, a US startup which makes gut probiotics tailored for an individual user, a product it calls Flore. Bolgar Jackson was a board observer of Sun Genomics from 2021.

Danone Ventures also led the $3.3m seed funding round for Ready Set Food in 2020, after which Bolgar Jackson sat on the board as a director, and later an observer. It is a US startup that develops food designed to introduce common allergens to babies to increase the likelihood of them developing resistance.
