Tammy Mahn, formerly a managing partner at Agrica’s AgriNation VC fund, has joined Verizon’s Israel-based investment team to manage agtech and foodtech deals.

US-listed telecommunications group Verizon has hired Tammy Mahn as an Israel-based managing director for its corporate venturing arm, Verizon Ventures, the unit said on Wednesday.

The move comes at a time when the unit is bolstering its activities in Israel, having invested in internet-of-things (IoT) technology startup Wiliot and machine learning software developer Iguazio earlier this year.
