Matthew Lee, CEO of IDG Ventures Korea for over eight years, was left the unit to launch a new entity dubbed Cognitive Investment.
Matthew Lee has left IDG Ventures Korea, an affiliate of US-based media and data firm International Data Group, to co-found a new entity called Cognitive Investment as managing partner.
Lee had acted as CEO and managing partner of IDG Ventures Korea since 2007, focusing on mobile and social technology developers. The unit, which invests out of a $100m fund, is part of a worldwide IDG corporate venturing network that also spans the US, India, China and Vietnam.
