The funding round backed by Deutsche Telekom's corporate venturing unit, backs the on-line advertiser which has helped promote Cars 2.

The corporate venturing unit of Germany-based telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom has helped Innovid, a US-based video advertising platform, raise $9.5m.

The company makes video adverts used in a range of on-line publications, and has worked on adverts for the films Cars 2 and Kung Fu Panda 2 as well as for companies including Coca-Cola and Audi.

As well as T-Venture, the series B funding round was also backed by Sequoia Capital and Genesis Partners.
