Commerce and payment services provider Interswitch has hired Tony Idugboe to head up its merger and acquisitions.

Tony Idugboe has moved to become head of mergers and acquisitions at Nigeria-based digital payments and commerce company Interswitch Group.

Idugboe had previously spent nearly three years as head of investments at Itanna, an impact initiative that invests in disruptive tech-enabled businesses in Africa.

He said at Interswitch, which launched its $10m global ePayment Growth Fund in 2015: “Venture investment is a key focus for us”.
