Virtual reality software developer Envelop VR has completed a series A round that featured a $1.5m investment by corporate venturing unit GV.

US-based virtual reality software developer Envelop VR has closed its series A round at $5.5m after securing $1.5m from GV, the corporate venturing unit formerly known as Google Ventures, according to GeekWire.

The series A, which also featured venture capital firm Madrona Venture Group, reached a $4m initial close in October 2015. It followed a $2m seed round backed by an assortment of angel investors in June last year.
