Drop heats up with $8m series A

Drop, which is developing smart kitchen appliance software, was backed by supply chain services company PCH in a previous round.

Drop, a US-based smart kitchen appliance software developer backed by supply chain services provider PCH International, has completed an $8m series A round led by venture capital firm Alsop Louie Partners.

VC firm Frontline Ventures and Michelin-starred chef Ross Lewis also participated in the round. Frontline and Innovation Works co-led a $2m round for the company in 2014 that included PCH, VegasTechFund and WI Harper Group.
