China-based social networking services (SNS) website Douban.com has raised $50m in its series C round from a consortium including Germany-based publisher Bertelsmann’s regional corporate venturing unit.

Founded in March 2005, Douban has more than 53 million registered users.

Separately, SNS peer Woyo raised $100m from an unnamed US venture capital fund, according to news provider PE Daily.
