Krishna Neshwant, a Google Ventures partner who is joining the DNA cloud computing company's board, says he is compelled by the company's vision of "revolutionising bioinformatics".

Google Ventures has helped DNA Nexus, a DNA data cloud computing company, raise $15m.

The corporate venturing unit of US-based search engine Google and TPG Biotech, the life science venture arm of US private equity TPG, have joined the DNA company as new backers. Geoff Duyk, partner and managing director at TPG Biotech, and Krishna Yeshwant, partner at Google Ventures, will be joining DNA Nexus’ board.
