The software firm has raised $40m in series D funding from investors including In-Q-Tel, taking its overall financing to $76m.

US-based software company Cloudera closed its $40m series D round yesterday, having received funding from backers including In-Q-Tel, the US Central Intelligence Agency’s venturing fund.

The round was led by venture capital (VC) firm Ignition Partners, while other participants included VC firms Accel Partners and Greylock Partners, and private equity firm Meritech Capital Partners.

The round marks the entry point for In-Q-Tel but Meritech, Accel and Greylock all supported Cloudera’s series C round, which raised $25m in October…
