The Hitachi Ventures office will be based in Bengaluru and led by Radhika Ananth who joined the team in September last year.

Hitachi Ventures, the corporate VC arm of Japanese tech and industrial conglomerate Hitachi, has established an office in Bengaluru, India, marking their expansion into one of the world’s fastest-growing deep tech ecosystems. Radhika Ananth, who joined the team in September 2025 as head of Indian VC investments, will lead the office.

The India office will be based within the TDK Ventures Innovation Hub, a facility designed to bring together startups, corporate investors and innovation teams.

The move gives Hitachi Ventures a base in India and closer access to emerging technology companies. Locating the team within TDK Ventures’ hub also places it alongside a network of founders, corporate partners and venture investors active in industrial and deep tech sectors.

The unit is expected to focus on areas including AI infrastructure, semiconductors, advanced materials, energy transition technologies and industrial automation.

Established in 2019 with a $150m fund, Hitachi Ventures has since grown to manage over $1bn.
