Give us a brief introduction to yourself.

I have been the managing director of Merck Ventures since its inception originally as MS Ventures seven years ago in 2009. My background is initially as a very unsuccessful scientist who went into business, became in investment banker, and then joined Serono just before Merck acquired Serono.
