Big data company Cloudera has acquired Google-backed business intelligence and data visualisation company DataPad.

DataPad, a US-based developer of data integration technology, has been acquired by big data company Cloudera, providing an exit to Google Ventures, the corporate venturing unit of internet company Google.

Cloudera stated it had “acquired the technology assets of DataPad” but has not disclosed financial terms. The acquisition will enable Cloudera to strengthen its enterprise data hub by offering simplifying data processing and analysis technology.
