Simon Clark, who has also served as chairman of the BVCA, has left Fidelity's European venture capital unit after 15 years as managing partner.

Simon Clark has retired from his position as managing partner at Fidelity Growth Partners Europe (FGPE), a venture capital subsidiary of financial services firm Fidelity Investments.

Clark joined FGPE in 1999 after a stint at financial media site TheStreet, where he acted as chief financial officer. He was also the chairman of the British Venture Capital Association, the trade body for the UK’s VC and private equity industry, for just under a year until April 2014.
