ClariPhy Communications changes its chief executive and takes the total funding it has raised to more than $55.5m with backing from an undisclosed strategic investor.

US-based semiconductor company ClariPhy Communications, which is backed by investors including Finland-based phone infrastructure company Nokia Siemens Networks and Nasdaq-listed equipment maker Oclaro, has raised an additional $4.5m.

Nariman Yousefi, former head of Broadcom Corporation, has also joined the company as chief executive and president, replacing the company’s co-founder, Paul Voois, in the role.

ClariPhy provides integrated circuits to help networks transport information.
