US-based digital media company Eventful has been acquired by CBS Local Media, a subsidiary of broadcaster CBS, for an undisclosed sum, providing an exit to telecommunications company Telefonica.
Eventful operates a global events website that enables users to promote and track event listings from concerts and films to sporting events. The site also has a ‘Demand it!’ feature, through which users can campaign to encourage an event to come to their area.
