Laboratory Corporation of America joined backers including Novartis to increase Advanced Animal Diagnostics' funding to more than $37m.
Advanced Animal Diagnostics (AAD), a US-based company developing technology to spot diseases in cattle, has raised $15m in a series C round backed by genomic testing company Laboratory Corporation of America.
The round was co-led by venture capital firm Cultivian Sandbox and US state-backed Kansas Bioscience Authority, and also included funding from venture capital firm Middleland Capital and existing investors Novartis Venture Funds and Intersouth Partners.
AAD previously received $17.3m in a series B round that closed in April 2013.…
