Online back-up solution Carbonite acquires recovery software provider Zmanda for $14.8m
Carbonite Inc has acquire U.S-based Zmanda, a provider of open source backup and recovery software, for $14.8m. Founded in 2005, Zmanda has previosuly raised $13m in VC funding, $5m in Series A and $8m in Series B, from early stage venture capital firm BlueRun Ventures, multi-billion dollar global venture capital firm Canaan Partners and Helion Venture Partners, an early to mid-stage India-focused venture fund.
