Laurel Buckner is heading to venture firm WestRiver Group as a managing director having helped ATN set up its corporate venturing arm.
Laurel Buckner has left her managing director (MD) position at ATN Ventures, the corporate venture capital (CVC) arm of US-based telecommunications and renewable energy investment holding company ATN International.
Venture capital firm WestRiver Group hired Buckner in the same role ahead of the planned launch of a fund that will target machine learning. Based in Seattle, she will co-lead its $100m Pacific Northwest fund with fellow MD Anthony Bontrager.
