Eutelsat and the video delivery components developer will partner to expand their portfolio of services for telecom operators, media groups and content providers following the $11.2m investment.

Satellite provider Eutelsat has acquired a 20% stake in France-based video technology provider Broadpeak following a €10m ($11.2m) investment in the form of shares and bonds.

Founded in 2010, Broadpeak makes video delivery components that are used by telecoms, cable, satellite and content providers to optimise the delivery of video content, such as movies and TV programs, over terrestrial and satellite networks.
