Follett and Pearson exited the classroom communication app, which has been acquired by Branch Metrics for an undisclosed amount.

Educational products and services provider Follett has exited US-based classroom communication app developer ClassOwl after it was acquired by app analytics company Branch Metrics for an undisclosed sum.

Founded in 2013, ClassOwl’s app enables teachers to send information and assignments to students. Branch Metrics said it acquired the startup as part of a quest to “educate mobile app developers around the world about organic app growth.”
