Brainlab has purchased the surgical robotics technology provider for an undisclosed amount, two years after investing in the company.
Medical technology manufacturer Brainlab has purchased portfolio company Medineering, a Germany-based developer of assistive systems for surgery, for an undisclosed amount.
Founded in 2014, Medineering has created a robotic arm that attaches to operating tables to assist surgeons with procedures by freeing both their hands. It has also developed a robotic endoscope that enables surgeons to see inside the body on which they are operating.
