Greenlight Re-backed travel insurance startup Battleface has lured Drive Capital for a series A round set to drive its growth plans.
Battleface, a US-based travel insurance policy provider backed by reinsurance firm Greenlight Re, secured $12m in series A funding from venture capital firm Drive Capital yesterday.
Founded in 2017, Battleface offers insurance products tailored to travellers headed on unorthodox journeys, targeting not just holidaymakers but also people working from overseas and humanitarian aid workers.
The policies can be tailored to cover emergency medical treatment and 24/7 claims assistance in isolated locations.
