US-based cybersecurity technology producer AttackIQ closed a $8.8m series A round yesterday that included Qualcomm Ventures and Telstra Ventures, the respective investment units of chip maker Qualcomm and telecoms firm Telstra.

Venture capital firm Index Ventures also contributed capital to the round.

Founded in 2014, AttackIQ has built a platform, dubbed FireDrill, that lets enterprise users test and analyse the effectiveness of cybersecurity procedures. The company emerged from stealth in July 2016.
