Advanced Inquiry Systems sees support for at least corporate venturing units for series C round.

Advanced Inquiry Systems (AIS), a US-based company backed by three strategic investors for testing semiconductors, has raised $10m so far in its series C round, according to the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

The filing with the US regulator, first reported by local news provider Portland Business Journal, said AIS was trying to raise $14.5m.

AIS closed its $11m series B round last year and has in aggregate raised $33m, according to the Portland journal.

The company said its investors were Intel Capital, the corporate venturing division of chipmaker Intel, Applied Ventures, the venture capital fund of Applied Materials, and KT Venture Group, the investment partner of KLA-Tencor, and three venture capital firms: Northwest Technology Ventures, OVP Venture Partners and TL Ventures.

The Portland journal said a new strategic investor had also joined the C round.
