Burstly, a smartphone app development company responsible for the beta-testing platform TestFlight, has been acquired by Apple.

US-based Burstly creates apps and systems to help developers test and monitise their own smartphone apps. Their current suite of applications comprises TestFlight, FlightPath and SkyRocket.

The terms of the Apple acquisition have not been released at this time. However total disclosed funding for Burstly comes to $7.3m, generated from two rounds of funding.
