Anton first hatched a strategic cooperation agreement with Schlumberger in 2010 in the areas of drilling fluids and well-cementing services.

US-based oil and gas services company Schlumberger has taken a 20.1% stake in Anton Oilfield Services Group, a China-based oilfield services provider.

Schlumberger acquired 423 million shares in the company

Anton first hatched a strategic cooperation agreement with Schlumberger in 2010 in the areas of drilling fluids and well-cementing services.

Anton said it believes that this move would allow closer collaboration on integrated services projects.
