The open-source software manager was valued above $800m in a round that included new corporate backer Salesforce Ventures.

Aiven, the Finland-based developer of an open-source software management platform, has received $100m in series C funding from investors including enterprise software producer Salesforce.

Venture capital firm Atomico led the round, which also featured World Innovation Lab, Earlybird Venture Capital and IVP, while Salesforce took part through corporate venturing unit Salesforce Ventures. The capital was raised at a valuation exceeding $800m.
