Airtel Nigeria, a subsidiary of Indiabased Airtel, has launched a programme that will invest in Nigeria-based mobile app developers.

Airtel Nigeria, a subsidiary of India-based telecommuncations company Airtel, has launched Catapult-a-Startup, a programme aimed at mobile app developers in Nigeria, Ventureburn reported on Thursday.

Startups can apply by January 20, 2015 and will pitch at the event on February 4. The programme will award NGN 1m ($5,500) to each successful startup, which will then be given access to mentors, marketing support and further funding opportunities.
