Access Industries has led a $46.5m series A round for Ada Health, the developer of an app that helps users understand their health condition and recommends treatments.

Germany-based healthcare app developer Ada Health has raised €40m ($46.5m) in a series A round led by diversified conglomerate Access Industries, Handelsblatt reported yesterday.

The round included June Fund, Cumberland VC and William Tunstall-Pedoe, founder of artificial intelligence (AI) software developer Evi Technologies, which was acquired by e-commerce firm Amazon in 2012 to power its personal assistant Alexa.
