Foodpanda, a German-based online food delivery service and marketplace incubated by Rocket Internet, has raised $20m in venture capital funding from investors including Phenomen Ventures.
Foodpanda, and its Brazilian affiliate HelloFood, is the fastest growing online food delivery marketplace worldwide. It was incubated by Rocket Internet and this latest funding adds to the $28m already invested through other rounds.
Currently operating in four continents, Foodpanda plans to use the new investment to continue its global ambitions and roll out to over 40 markets by the end of the first quarter in 2014.
