Kenichi Kimura has been the head of Japan-based conglomerate Mitsui’s corporate venturing unit for more than two years.

He worked as an investment partner for IT and new domain business from 2003 to 2009, and also worked as a general manager of the investment business department and in Mitsui’s IT solution division before
that.
Kimura is a mechanical engineering graduate from University of Tokyo. He started his career at Mitsui in its information business group, where he was responsible for satellite communication, broadcasting and content business.
